Hull's Culture & Heritage Strategy
Find out what's to come...
Developed in partnership with local communities, cultural leaders, and industry professionals, these strategies outline how we will strengthen Hull’s cultural offer, create sustainable opportunities for artists and businesses, and make creativity accessible to all.
Filming in Hull
Hull becoming a location favourite
Film friendly Hull has become a destination for location scouts to find unique and historic locations with a flexible team of support.
Key priorities set out in Hull’s 10-year Community Plan for 2024-2034, which was developed after extensive consultation with the people of Hull.
Together, we’ll continue building on our proud heritage as a maritime city; and as a city that has long delivered quality cultural activity, one which held the title of UK City of Culture 2017, and that, thanks to you, our unique cultural communities, will always be a city of culture.
This also means building on existing investment, urban regeneration, health and wellbeing, and overall quality-of-life benefits for people living, working, volunteering and studying in Hull, as well as those who are visiting.
We teache over 5,000 children and young people in schools and colleges, and provides groups, choirs, ensembles, bands and orchestras for all age. If successful, benefits could include access to a network of almost 300 other Cities of Music worldwide.
